About The
Refuge at Lyric Farm

A Massachusetts animal rescue farm sanctuary where compassion, community, and second chances come together — for animals and people alike.

How Lyric Farm
Came to Be

The Refuge at Lyric Farm began with a simple act of compassion.

In 2003, Michelle took in a lamb, a goat kid, and four rabbits that were headed for auction — and likely slaughter. They joined her six rescue cats and marked the quiet beginning of a growing, lifelong commitment to animals in need.

As more animals found their way to her care, it became clear the next step was a place that could bring everyone together. In 2020, she and her family found it — a home with a barn and enough land to give the animals space to live safely and peacefully.

Since then, the farm has grown into a true special needs animal rescue — and a space where people can learn, connect, and be part of something meaningful.
